Gayatri Joshi began her modeling career in 1996 when she was at college. She was one of the last five in the Femina Miss India beauty pageant in 1999 and was chosen to represent India at the Miss International in Japan in the year 2000. Though she didn't win the crown, it was a tremendous learning experience for her as she continually seeks to reinvent herself. Her modeling assignments include the famous Hyundai ad with Shahrukh Khan and other ads for LG, Godrej Coloursoft, Sunsilk Fruitamin, Ponds, Philips, Bombay Dyeing and others.
